gesundheit!

Yesterday, while bumming around I saw another old movie..It was "Patch Adams", definitely one of my favorites. I liked the fact that depicts a biographical story about a man's struggle to change and somehow improve the healthcare system, by the use of humor and open communication between the patients and the healthcare staff of the hospital, doctors, nurses..etc etc. In the movie, Hunter "patch" Adams suggests why don't we label patients not as "patients" but as people and call them by their names. I even visited his own website and saw his Gesundheit Institute, I learned that most of the healthcare professionals were volunteers and they widely used "clowning" to help people and kids to ease a part of their illness, sometimes mostly aggravated by loneliness..I believed Dr. Adams probably believes that depression affects each person greatly as well as it affects one's reaction to recovery and that happiness does make a reaction from each of us.

Actually i think it does..sometimes, when i feel bored or moody or sad..I just have to go out and talk with people I care about and my heavy feelings suddenly lighten up, or whenever somebody special to me, calls me or asks about my day, I cheer up and it brings up all the smiles. i love it.
